- an automated, advance fulfilment centre at targeted locations to reach our customers more reliably, with larger assortment and faster.

Efficient and Reliable Demand Fulfilment is an established driver for growth. Project Samadhan pilot in Chennai was designed and executed to solve the problem statement of “delivering high N+1 fulfilment (>90%) & Secondary Line-fill (>90%) at parity Cost to serve”. This was done by decoupling demand capture (continued to be managed by the RS) from demand fulfilment (directly managed from Samadhan Fulfilment Centre via City cross docks).

The digital pillar to scale this business model will be built on the synergies between Shikhar & Samadhan allowing us to design an “unconstrained” platform for both demand capture and fulfilment.

All future Samadhan sites will be run with a suite of tech products of which the warehouse management system will be a crucial component in addition to warehouse control systems, robots as well as CD systems.

Apart from last mile fulfilment, HUL is modernizing its existing DCs and setting up ASRS enabled Back of Factory warehouses. All this will be enabled with a strong digital backbone and system solutions.

Main purpose of job:
As the SC WMS SME, one is responsible for solution design, product ownership of the technology platform for Supply Chain WMS Implementation across various warehouse archetypes. The individual will lead the entire journey across functional design, technology solution, coordinating technical delivery, deployment, stabilization and continuous improvement in BAU. The individual will define and drive the future fit tech stack for HUL’s fulfilment pillar which has interdependencies with CD as well as larger front end supply chain technologies. The lead is expected to drive the technology roadmap, integrated solutioning and BAU excellence across all WMS products for HUL.

Key accountabilities:
Business and Technology Partner:

- Lead business process excellence with business leads and SC excellence teams
- Own the core technology platform and ensure right fit technology outcomes
- Drive value creation through business adoption and technology optimization
- Design architecture in partnership with internal & external architects
- Manage support operations and improvements journey for Automated Warehouses.
- Engagement with Global platform for best practices and technology standardization
- Engagement with product partners & service providers to bring outside-in view Governance

People:

- Manage a large team of internal and external team members; ensure well-being, development & motivation
- Manage the IT budget including adherence to forecast, optimization & compliance
- Ensure strong governance structure across stakeholders

Experience and qualifications required:
- Strong SME in Warehouse Management Systems with 5yrs+ experience- Ability to handle E2E project journey including business value delivery- Strong business acumen to arrive at relevant solutions- Ability to manage delivery through partners- Confident, strong self-starter. Able to take a high-level brief and use contacts and information provided to voice concerns, seek detail, and build understanding to make recommendations.-
