Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned ETL Migration SME to lead the migration of enterprise data workflows from Apache Airflow to Talend. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both platforms and a proven track record of delivering successful ETL modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the migration of ETL pipelines from Apache Airflow to Talend.
  • Analyze existing Airflow DAGs and translate orchestration logic into Talend workflows.
  • Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance Talend jobs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance throughout the migration process.
  • Create migration documentation, standards, and training materials.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

Required Skills

  • 8–10 years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering.
  • Strong expertise in Apache Airflow and Talend (Talend Studio, Talend Cloud).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Talend components.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Talend certification (e.g., Talend Data Integration Certified Developer).
  • Experience in large-scale ETL modernization or migration projects.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks.
