Senior ETL Migration Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished ETL migration specialist to spearhead the transition of enterprise data workflows from Apache Airflow to Talend. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in both platforms and a proven track record of delivering successful ETL modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your technical leadership skills to manage the migration of ETL pipelines from Apache Airflow to Talend.
  • Analyze existing Airflow DAGs and translate orchestration logic into Talend workflows, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance Talend jobs that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to ETL migration.
  • E nsure data quality, lineage, and governance throughout the migration process, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive migration documentation, standards, and training materials to support a smooth transition.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and skill development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering with a strong background in Apache Airflow and Talend (Talend Studio, Talend Cloud).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Talend components, with experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD tools.
  • Talend certification (e.g., Talend Data Integration Certified Developer) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in large-scale ETL modernization or migration projects is essential, as well as familiarity with data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
