ETL Migration Subject Matter Expert

Role Overview :We are looking for a seasoned ETL Migration SME to lead the migration of enterprise data workflows from Apache Airflow to Talend. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both platforms and a proven track record of delivering successful ETL modernization projects.Key Responsibilities :- Lead and manage the migration of ETL pipelines from Apache Airflow to Talend.- Analyze existing Airflow DAGs and translate orchestration logic into Talend workflows.- Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance Talend jobs.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders.- Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance throughout the migration process.- Create migration documentation, standards, and training materials.- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.Required Skills : - 8 - 10 years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering.- Strong expertise in Apache Airflow and Talend (Talend Studio, Talend Cloud).- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Talend components.- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications :- Talend certification (e.g., Talend Data Integration Certified Developer).- Experience in large-scale ETL modernization or migration projects.- Knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).- Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks.
