Are you a skilled data migration specialist looking for a challenging role? We're seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our team and lead large-scale cloud migration projects.

About the Project:

We're migrating complex on-premise data systems to the cloud, and we need someone with expertise in designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable data pipelines. As a key member of our project team, you'll collaborate with architects and technical leads to design efficient and effective cloud migration strategies and data transformation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ETL processes using tools like Datastage and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in project technologies, including Databricks and PySpark
  • Design and deploy data pipelines for migrating data from various on-premise sources to cloud platforms
  • Ensure high-quality, well-documented, and maintainable code through code reviews and constructive feedback
  • Analyze and optimize performance of data pipelines and applications to ensure efficiency and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data migration, data quality, and system performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering and ETL development
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Datastage and ADF
  • Proven experience in cloud migration projects, with a strong understanding of challenges and best practices involved
  • In-depth knowledge of Databricks and its ecosystem, including notebooks, jobs, and Delta Lake
  • Expertise in PySpark for developing data processing applications on distributed computing frameworks
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
