Cloud Migration Professional

This role is centered around managing and providing excellent cloud migration services to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for migrating businesses to cloud-based platforms, working closely with them to identify their current IT infrastructure and business processes.
  • Design customer cloud environments, focusing on AWS/Azure and demonstrate technical knowledge of cloud operations.
  • Provide solutions in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques, including mass application movements into the cloud.
  • Manage migration plans and timelines along with a strong understanding of different strategies such as Rehost, Rebuild etc..
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify the right tool set to be used for the migration.
  • Ensure successful completion of the migration within project timelines and communicate progress and status to stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate testing and validation of migrated data/systems, develop and maintain documentation related to the migration, and provide training and support to end-users.
  • Participate in post-migration activities and provide ongoing support as needed.

Requirements

  • More than 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cloud Migration.
  • Minimum of 3+ years on Cloud Migration (AWS/Azure).
  • Experience in working on Native Migration tools or third-party tools such as Stratozone, Migration Center, Carbonite, Platespin.
  • Understanding of up-to-date Network architecture concepts and system integration principles, including high-end routers/switches, Network Security, Network Virtualization, Cloud Network Deployments, and other related infrastructure and system components.
  • Strong understanding across Azure and AWS infrastructure components (server, storage, network, database, and applications).
  • Delivered end-to-end Cloud Infrastructure engagements that include assessment, design, and migrations.
  • Good understanding of public cloud blue-green implementation with various use cases.
  • Experience in developing and managing complex multi-CPU virtual machines clusters and pods.
  • Experience with SSO such as Azure AD, ADFS, Okta or others.
  • Experience in configuring new VMs to handle email, intranet, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and core business applications running on the cloud.
  • A strong understanding of systems, integrations, and security tools and how they should interact within a cloud ecosystem.
  • Proficient in PowerShell, ARM templates, and other scripting languages used for automation and deployment on the Cloud.

Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Azure Certified Administrator - Mandatory, Certifications on any CI/CD - Optional, Certifications on any Programming - Optional, ITIL and or Agile methodologies - Mandatory.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a reputed institute.
