Seva Sadan is a 116 year-old non-profit organisation located at Gamdevi, Mumbai. We are registered as a Trust and run by an elected Managing Committee who works voluntarily. The services we offer include a Residential Home for underprivileged girls (ages 8 to 18), schools in Marathi, and English medium and Skill Development Courses. We are looking for a Social Worker.

**Role & Responsibilities**:
**Community Mapping and Profiling**
- Identifying communities for mobilization of children for Seva Sadan residential home, Seva Sadan schools and skill development classes.
- Profiling of communities to understand the needs and background of the students and stakeholders.

**Mobilization and Home visits**
- Field visits to be conducted in the profiled communities for home and schools and skill development admissions.
- Resource mobilization for vacancies in the organisation whenever the need arises.
- Spread awareness about various initiatives run by Seva Sadan and ensure admissions.
- Ensure that the Home admission procedures and criteria, as laid down by the Society are followed. This includes a social visit to the family, counseling children/parents and interview of the child and family. After admission, follow up visits during the year as and when required.
- Conduct home visits for students as and when required.

**Networking**
- Networking with CBOs, NGOs, BMC authorities, Hospitals, Police and State Government authorities and CWC whenever necessary only in relation to beneficiaries.

**Representative of the Society**
- To best represent the Society at all times
- To carry out additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to time

**Salary will be commensurate with experience**

Experience / Qualification - MSW with a minimum of 5 years of experience
