
Procurement & Purchase Coordinator

Job Purpose
To coordinate and support all aspects of residential construction projects with a strong focus on procurement and vendor management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and up to required quality standards. To act as a link between site teams, suppliers/vendors, internal teams and clients. The role requires technical knowledge (civil), excellent negotiation skills, and fluency in Malayalam, English, Tamil, and Kannada.
Key Responsibilities
- **Procurement & Purchasing**:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for construction materials, fittings and services.
- Negotiate terms, prices, delivery schedules, quality standards with vendors.
- Raise purchase orders, track purchase requisitions, follow up on deliveries.
- Ensure quality & quantity of incoming materials meet specification.
- Maintain vendor database: performance, reliability, pricing history etc.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Solid work experience (e.g. 3‑5 years or more) in residential construction, particularly procurement/purchase & exposure to civil works.
- Strong negotiation skills; experience negotiating with vendors/suppliers.
- Technical knowledge of civil construction: reading drawings, understanding materials, structural components, site supervision.
- Good documentation practices: ability to maintain accurate records, tracking, reports.
- Language proficiency: Malayalam, English, Tamil, Kannada
