**Respond to cyber attacks in real time**

As Security Architect II, you'll engage in critical network and attack-related events for Akamai's managed security customers. Help identify real time cyber-attacks, strategize & deploy mitigations while neutralizing adverse impact to the end users.

As a Security Architect II, you will be responsible for:

- Devising and engaging mitigation strategies to prevent real time attacks, using Akamai products & platform
- Performing advanced analysis to identify attacks and threats to customer's digital properties and/or their business network
- Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis
- Innovating around tooling development & product enhancement.
- Being a good advocate to customer centricity during day-to-day operations & incidents

**Do what you love**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have an in-depth understanding of networking fundamentals; Basic networking, TCP, IP, UDP.
- Demonstrate knowledge of how the internet works, including, DNS. HTTP, Suite of IP Protocols
- Need to have a common understanding on OWASP top 10 and how they relate to internet services compromise/attacks
- Need to demonstrate excellent verbal & written communication skills and excellent collaboration & team work.
- Have passion and ability to learn new tools and technologies and problem solving.
