**Key Responsibilities**:
Working as a member of the detection engineering team, with a focus on building detection rules as part of our purple team function.
Help support the Cyber threat intelligence function, with a focus on building detection rules based on input from current threat landscape.
Continuously tune our cybersecurity platforms to ensure an appropriate signal to noise ratio.
Work with several cybersecurity technologies including EDR, SIEM, SOAR and cloud native tooling, in alignment with detection engineering objectives.
Responsible for operations and maintenance of key cyber security detection engineering capabilities and services.
Resolve issues and incidents by performing complex root cause analysis and developing and implementing solutions.
Provide guidance to assigned teams to implement information security features.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to other team members.
Participate in on-call rotation as a member of the Incident Response Team.

**Education and Experience**:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in IT/Computer Science/Information Security or related field.
Certifications in related discipline preferred (e.g., CEH, CISM, CISSP).
6 years of previous related experience required.
Previous experience responding to security incident response efforts.
Scripting experience preferred.

**Additional Skills**:
Working knowledge of supporting enterprise network security platforms and capabilities (e.g., endpoint security, network security, identity and access management, data security, security monitoring tools).
Working knowledge of SOAR platform capabilities and function.
Working knowledge with building and tuning SIEM correlation rules, ideally with YARA and SIGMA rules.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer focused skills.
