The Raintree Foundation is working in a 2100 hectares landscape in Velhe block of Pune district. It is situated in the Northern Western Ghats, a global biodiversity hotspot.

**Description**:
We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to create a climate-focused curriculum for the ‘**Climate Shala**’ program, aiming to empower children, ranging from ages 10 to 13, to address climate change and social justice challenges within their communities. Through targeted capacity-building training on climate, climate change, environment conservation, water security, gender, and mental health, children will be encouraged to undertake 'positive actions' towards achieving resilience and comprehensive development.

The primary objective is to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and captivating manner through engaging learning and practice experiences.

As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing instructional materials, incorporating instructional design principles and technologies. Your expertise in curriculum development and instructional strategies will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.

You will work very closely with the Program team at Raintree Foundation to contribute towards the success of learners by fostering their growth and development through well-designed and impactful instructional programs.

**Reports To**: Head of Program Design, Raintree Foundation

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop curriculum for the “Climate Shala” program that enhances retention and transfer.
- State instructional end goals and develop content that matches them
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
- Develop lesson/session plans and provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.) with other teams.
- Provide training for content delivery to the relevant stakeholders.
- Develop a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework for the “Climate Shala” program with measurable outcomes.
- Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a reputed institution.
- Marathi language proficiency is a must
- A diploma/certification in Instructional Design is strongly preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in education/instructional design

**Capabilities**:

- Proven working experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training.
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts, and storyboarding.
- Strong project reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments

Pay: Up to ₹75,000.00 per month
