Job Summary:
The PGT Physical Education Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality physical education lessons to senior secondary students (Grades 11 & 12). The role involves fostering students’ physical, mental, and social development through sports, fitness programs, and theoretical knowledge of physical education.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instruction:

- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum CBSE.
- Teach theoretical concepts such as sports science, anatomy, kinesiology, and health education.
- Conduct practical training in various sports, athletics, and fitness activities.
- Assess students’ performance through exams, practical tests, and assignments.

Student Development:

- Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership qualities in students.
- Identify students’ strengths and guide them toward specialized sports training.
- Prepare students for inter-school, state, and national-level sports competitions.
- Provide fitness counseling and injury prevention guidance.

Extracurricular & Sports Activities:

- Organize sports events, annual sports meets, and fitness programs.
- Coach school teams for various sports and prepare them for tournaments.
- Manage school sports inventory and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.

Administration & Coordination:

- Maintain student records, attendance, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for holistic student development.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ progress and sports activities.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
- B.Ed.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Physical Education teacher at the senior secondary level.
- Experience in coaching sports teams is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of physical education theory and sports science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in first aid and injury management.
