Position: Principal
Reporting To: School Management/Board of Directors
Job Summary:
The Principal is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the smooth functioning of the school as per CBSE norms. The role includes academic administration, staff management, student development, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Principal will also ensure compliance with CBSE guidelines, implement best educational practices, and maintain high standards of education and discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Leadership & Curriculum Implementation:
- Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies and use of technology in education.
- Monitor academic performance and take corrective measures to enhance results.
- Encourage teachers to adopt modern pedagogical approaches and continuous learning.
2. Staff Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development programs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Address staff grievances and ensure a positive work environment.
3. Student Development & Discipline:
- Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for students.
- Oversee student admissions and ensure fair and transparent procedures.
- Implement effective student discipline policies and behavioral guidelines.
- Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
4. School Administration & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to CBSE rules, regulations, and policies.
- Maintain proper school records, including attendance, assessments, and financial reports.
- Liaise with CBSE officials and oversee affiliation and accreditation processes.
- Develop and manage the school budget efficiently.
5. Parent & Community Engagement:
- Build positive relationships with parents and address their concerns.
- Organize parent-teacher meetings and workshops.
- Collaborate with local authorities, education boards, and community organizations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree with B.Ed./M.Ed. (Mandatory as per CBSE norms).
- Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role (Vice Principal/Principal).
- Age Limit: As per CBSE norms.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

- Technologically proficient and innovative in teaching methodologies.
