**Job Overview:

- **We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented **Podcast Story Producer** who can take raw podcast recordings and turn them into compelling, high-retention episodes. You’ll be the **story architect** — mapping out the narrative flow, identifying emotional high points, and deciding the visual direction — while collaborating closely with our **video editor**and **thumbnail artist** to bring your vision to life.

This is **not a video editing role** — you won’t be doing heavy technical edits yourself. Instead, you’ll work **end-to-end on the story**: from planning the episode flow, to directing the post-production process, to ensuring the visuals and thumbnails align with the story’s hook.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the host to plan the **storyline and flow** of each episode.
- Research guests and prepare **engaging, story-driven questions** for interviews.
- Watch raw footage to identify:

- Must-keep moments and the strongest hooks
- Unnecessary sections to remove
- The most engaging story sequence (even if it means reordering content)
- Prepare a **Post-Production Vision Document** for the editor with:

- Story arc and pacing notes
- Timestamps for key moments and deletions
- Suggestions for visual anchors (b-roll, graphics, references)
- Work with the **video editor** to ensure your vision is executed exactly as planned.
- Collaborate with the **thumbnail artist** to create titles and thumbnails that reflect the episode’s hook and emotional tone.
- Use free online editors (Clipchamp, Kapwing, CapCut) for **basic sequencing rough cuts** when needed — no heavy polish required.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in storytelling for podcasts, documentaries, or long-form content.
- Strong instincts for pacing, emotional beats, and audience engagement.
- Excellent communication and creative direction skills for working with editors and designers.
- Ability to think from an **audience-first perspective**.
- Basic sequencing skills in free online editors (no advanced editing required).
- Knowledge of YouTube, podcasting, and social media trends is a plus.
