**Educational Qualification & Experience:
- LL.M from a reputed accredited law school; at least 12 years of experience directly related to the duties and the responsibilities specified. Must be a member of the State Bar Council.
- Company Secretary (CS) will be preferred.
- Experience in handling secretarial matters will be an added advantage.

**Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides legal counsel and guidance to the senior management / officers of the institution on all legal matters, including personnel laws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations, and laws pertaining to students, real-estate transactions, contracts, tax matters, liability and insurance matters, charities, and other laws and regulations.
- Responsible for conducting departmental inquiry.
- Selects and retains external counsel, as required, to obtain legal opinions or to handle claims and litigations.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of legal professionals, paraprofessionals and consultants / lawyers / law-firms.
- Responsible for compliances as per the Trust laws and the requirements of the Charity Commissioner.
- Responsible for conducting the elections of the Trust.
- Responsible to ensure that all legal documents, such as but not limited to - Trust rules, Articles of Association, Byelaws, membership documents, election related documents, minutes of statutory committees, cases papers, etc.; are kept safe and in a systematic manner.
- Knowledge and understanding of institutional policies and procedures and the regulatory environment within which they operate.
