**Job Title:FormulatorDepartment: Research & development**

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Formulator to lead the development of cosmetic and personal care products. The role involves creating, testing, and optimizing formulations, ensuring product stability, scalability, and compliance with regulatory standards, while supporting production teams during scale-up and commercialization.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Product Formulation & Development**
- Design and develop formulations for skincare, haircare, and personal care product**s** (e.g., shampoos, cleansers, etc).
- Work on new formulations.
- Prepare and refine lab-scale batches and pilot samples for evaluation.
- Select appropriate raw materials (RM), actives, preservatives, and fragrances.
- Conduct stability studies, compatibility checks, and shelf-life testing.

**2. Testing & Quality Assurance**
- Perform lab trials and optimize formulations for texture, fragrance, efficacy, and cost.
- Ensure all formulations meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot issues in product performance or production (e.g., staining, separation, stability issues).
- Support scale-up from lab to factory batches in collaboration with production teams.

**3. Documentation & Compliance**
- Create SOPs, formulation master sheets, and production manuals.
- Document procedures for all approved products in alignment with GMP standards.
- Provide technical inputs for labels, packaging claims, and regulatory submissions.

**4. Collaboration & Training**
- Work closely with management, procurement, and production teams for formulation requirements.
- Train staff and interns on sample making, formulation procedures, and lab safety practices.
- Participate in costing exercises to optimize formulations within budget.
- Contribute to new product development (NPD) roadmaps aligned with company strategy.

**Key Skills & Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic chemistry, raw materials, and formulation science.
- Hands-on experience in formulating emulsions, gels, oils, shampoos, serums, and lotions.
- Familiarity with preservative systems, fragrances, and stability testing.
- Good understanding of regulatory documentation (BMR, BPR, MSDS, SDS, SOPs).
- Excellent problem-solving and innovation skills.
- Ability to work independently and translate concepts into market-ready products.

**Qualification & Experience**
- Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on formulation experience in cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG sector.
- Experience with scaling formulations from lab to production is highly desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per week
