WHAT'S THE ROLE?

Hilti is investing massively into growing its software business and digitizing its customers’ processes. As a Finance Controller for the Construction Software Business Unit you work with the business counterpart to develop and execute the growth strategy. You design & implement holistic steering and performance management systems. And you set up the necessary finance processes to ensure disciplined execution.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

As Finance Controller, you will deliver business critical advice and strategic support on all aspects of finance through acting as a partner to the business counterpart; you will need strong business acumen to assess the financial implications of various initiatives to generate value. Your responsibility is to define and share the right financial information to all stakeholders to enable fact-based business decisions and be the voice of reason between business opportunities and associated risks.

You establish a strong foundation for the growth of the software business by defining and implementing the necessary finance processes, systems and structures.

With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will challenge the status quo, taking calculated risks to drive and develop innovation from within. You will proactively monitor the external environment and translate relevant trends into the organization, to ensure agility and value creation.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:
**Background**

Degree in Business, Finance, or Related Field and either professional accounting qualifications or Masters - Top ranking Chartered Accountancy or tier 1 Finance MBA
- 7+ years’ experience in a financial, consultancy or auditing role within a multinational organization
- Controlling or profitability steering in a multinational SW company preferred

**Skills**
- Demonstrated knowledge in Accounting, Controlling, Reporting or Financial Advisory
- Effective communication skills, including ability to structure clear presentations
- Proficient English written and verbal communication
- The ability to simplify a financial message to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong business planning, financial planning (forecasting/budgeting) and analysis skills
- Experience in financial planning, modelling and analysis and reporting software preferred (e.g. Excel, Access, Tagetik, SAP Analytics, SQL, Tableau)

- Creative, open minded and act as change agent by challenging status quo and proactively bring outside in perspective.
- Strike a balance between taking risks and being cautious.
- Strong business understanding with the ability to link financial guidance with business needs.
- Structured working approach
- Keen eye for details and aptitude for working with data in agile environment.
- Good team player and able to effectively work in multi-functional/cross-cultural environment.
