- Manage Metallurgical & Materials Technologies, and provide advisory_
- support for all of IP worldwide covering 2.2 billion dollars in sales. Advisory support has direct impact on IP product quality, sales, and shipments._
- Provide corrosion engineering and metallurgical engineering support & guidance to IP value center Manufacturing Operations, Foundry Operations, Sales & Services, Product Development, Operations Engineering, and Procurement functions:_
- Support provided to multiple IP value centers such as: ITT Goulds Pumps, ITT Bornemann, ITT Valves, and ITT RHEINHÜTTE Pumpen._

Education: _**:

- M.S. Degree in Metallurgical or Materials_
- Science or B.S. Degree with extensive equivalent experience in Metallurgical or Materials Sciences/Engineering._

Experience: _**:

- Minimum of 10 yrs Materials Engineering &_
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or applied_

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:_**:

- Experience in chemical process, pulp & paper, energy, & other process industries desirable._

Manage, and direct metallurgical and materials technologies utilized in IP product. Perform as consulting materials advisor for all IP operations worldwide and their customers.

Participate as materials advisor for IP design reviews, and new product development within IP. Special projects and field support are within scope of responsibilities.

Evaluate and recommend use of new and emerging technologies.

Investigate and implement materials processing improvements which ensure highest materials integrity of products, with improved quality at reduced costs.

Investigate cause of equipment damage and provide failure analysis investigations, reporting, and reviews; as well as guidance and appropriate corrective action advisory for damage prevention, product improvement and warranty cost reductions.

Provide materials technology training programs; and provide metallurgical instruction for various IP training needs. Coordinate materials learning & training programs/seminars, and assist with sales/marketing or customer support presentations as needed.

Lead technical services and act as catalyst for continuous improvement within role as worldwide IP materials advisor. Develop and execute relationships with other technical resources within the IP community to properly utilize resources and add value to IP products and services.
