Introduction:
CB&P COO provides strategic and Subject Matter Expert (SME) direction and governance regarding the delivery of Processes, Technology, Operations and Programme Management for the Risk, Finance and Treasury functional groups

What will you be doing?
- Support the relationship with the Data Domain business teams to ensure data standards are part of the domains BAU operating model
- Support monthly Data Forums and Council meetings preparations
- Escalate issues through the reporting line to Group Data Councils and assist in the remediation
- Work alongside other Chief Data Office teams to ensure consistency of approach and front-to-back lineage being delivered including business benefit articulation
- Support data governance and quality assurance activities
- Provide project updates and report on progress on data quality and control remediation activities
- Generate ideas to enhance lineage & metadata tools benefiting CDO & Domain stakeholders
- Work as team lead multiple GDMS standards across CB&P, including manage and execution of implementation plan, drive process improvements around data governance, data quality, data lineage, data issues etc. areas.
- Develop solution and hands-on around the Data Quality program and establish a rhythm for data profiling. Provide logical and technical recommendations and best practices for Data Quality program, including data profiling, business and technical rules writing and validation.
- Work closely with delivery lead and functional leadership team to understand Barclays data domains and contribute to Data Lineage program. Own one or more Barclays data domains for Data Governance including Data Quality & Data Lineage program and develop, implement and deliver end to end solutions for CDE - ADS mapping, EUDA, ORAC and Control It controls, Tagging, Business Commentary et al.
- Understanding of Barclays control framework/environment for data to be produced and consumed in a way that drives continuous improvement of data management and quality.
- Ability to manage and mentor junior resources, provide direction and support collaborative working. As a team lead, will be responsible for individual team member’s motivation and development through professional leadership.
- Provide support and solution around a number of critical BUK initiatives. Develop program milestones with stakeholders, reviewed and approved by delivery and functional leads and implement governance to ensure all underpinning activities are executed effectively and tracked with associated issues and risk.
- Understanding of Barclays Risk and Control Framework (RCSA) and proactively manage program/project risks with appropriate remedial plan before they become issues.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to Barclays policies and standards. Ensure team members are adhering to all compliance policies such data security, mandatory trainings etc.
- Support monthly Data Forums and Council meetings preparations
- Escalate issues through the VP reporting line to Group Data Councils and assist in the remediation
- Generate ideas to enhance lineage, data quality & metadata tools benefiting CDO & Domain stakeholders

Data Domain Management:

- Support the C&P business in managing existing and new Data Domains, sub-data domain and Critical Data Elements under the C&P ownership
- Support maintenance of business glossary for Data Domains and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) via the running of annual attestation
