Lead Risk Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled data management professional to join our team with a strong background in the banking and financial services sector.

  1. Develop and maintain a robust data governance framework tailored to risk data management, ensuring alignment with organizational risk management strategies and regulatory requirements.
  2. Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure risk data integrity, security, and compliance with financial regulations (e.g. Basel III, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, GDPR).
  3. Ensure the adoption and consistent application of data governance processes across business units and data domains.

Data quality is crucial for effective decision-making, and as a lead risk data governance specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing data quality standards, metrics, and KPIs specifically for risk data, monitoring for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency.
  • Performing regular data quality assessments, identifying gaps, and driving initiatives to improve data quality across various systems.
  • Investigating and resolving data quality issues and recommending solutions for process improvements.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Data Governance or Data Quality (e.g. CDMP, CDO, DAMA) preferred.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or related roles, specifically within the banking or financial services industry, preferably in Risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and their impact on data management in the financial services sector.
