Job Description

As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the risk oversight responsibilities of our UK Enterprise Risk Management team. Your primary focus will be on driving improvements across all aspects of our Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment Process (ICARA), as well as relevant documentation.

You will also be responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments of new products and embedding them into our existing risk management frameworks or developing new frameworks as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and report risk appetite metrics for our legal entities, including continuous enhancement and annual risk appetite statement update.

In this critical role, you will perform ad-hoc risk analysis and participate in required change projects to de-risk or support new initiatives. You will drive our annual risk identification and assessment process, consolidating all risk categories, and implement enhancements to risk monitoring and reporting for local governing bodies.

Furthermore, you will develop and/or maintain key Risk documentation, including our UK Risk Management Framework and other relevant processes or activities. As a member of our UK ERM team, you will report directly to the UK Chief Risk Officer and represent the team in relevant governance forums.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years experience in Risk Management across ERM and/or various disciplines such as Operational Risk, Financial Risk, and/or Investment Risk.
  • Experience in Asset Management sector.
  • Proven experience in roles with direct exposure to FCA prudential regulation.
  • University degree in Business Management, Economics, or similar field.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to propose process improvements and new solutions, influencing teams across different parts of the organization.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills, with ability to synthesize information and create presentations for senior audiences.
  • Strong verbal presentation skills to Senior Management.
  • Ability to operate with high autonomy.
