Purchase /sourcing Merchandiser- Fabrics, Trims

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Identify develop vendors for supply of all types of Fabrics, trims, Accessories to meet company's apparel production requirements.
- Research to understand company's operations needs and evaluate every sourcing alternatives.
- Negotiating price & contract terms for continuous & in time supply of the materials.
- Supervise every negotiation and provide guidelines to prepare documents for purchasing and making a contract.
- Build relationships with vendors and key suppliers. Negotiate for minimizing the cost of materials and get the best possible price.
- Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices. Adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations
- Contribute towards enhancing profitability by (i) making availability of quality materials on time,(ii) controlling or reducing costs, (iii)improving payment terms,(iv) reducing inventory and (v)optimizing supply chain efficiencies.

Develop a sourcing plan for both for **local and international** sources, so that fast and effectively sourcing operations are possible. Monitor sourcing strategy and change the strategy according to the market condition.
- Need to ensure that the decision-making process is supported by technical and functional knowledge of the category and leading-edge analytical methods which encompass people, systems and financial measures.
- Coordinate with Designers, Merchandising team, Product development, production planning and inventory team, for existing/new product developments and trends forecasting.
- Coordinating with Fabric producing mills, vendors and suppliers for quality and timely delivery of fabrics/Trims/Accessories.
- Perform and analysis Monthly forecasting report to ensure and maintain acceptable inventory level.
- Coordinate with international logistic personnel to ensure proper shipment delivery.
- Evaluate letter of credit documents and collaborate with accounting department to ensure timely financial obligations.
- Evaluation of quality of raw materials so that right quality materials can source.

Should be able to handle independently purchase of raw materials, oversee knitting, dyeing and other processes in entire fabric production.
- 15+ years Experience in Garment Industry in Procurement and at least 5 years as HOD.
- Should be from technical background, thorough knowledge of fabric/trims/accessories usedin apparel industry.
- Should have strong analytical, negotiation, contracting and communication skills
- Should have adequate skills to develop and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies for the company.
- Ability to think strategically so that the company can take advantage of business processes, industry dynamics, supplier experiences, and manufacturing practices, and general market conditions, etc.
- Ability to perform financial analysis of the cost of every sourcing.
- Ability to work with various levels of the supplier from the local and international market.
- Excellent teamwork skills and proven aptitude to partner effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (i.e., top management, colleagues, suppliers, and internal/external customers).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹15,915.47 - ₹50,817.26 per month
