- 560001- The SW Architect is responsible for the creation of the software architecture and design. This includes the description of the interfaces between software components, the definition of the memory layout of the SW in all its different parts (Primary Bootloader, Bootloader, Application, EOL data, etc ), the definition of the system resources (for both RAM, ROM and CPU load), the coordination of the design according to A-SPICE for projects A-SPICE compliant and according to ISO 26262 for functional safety projects. The lead SW Architect must be considered together with SW Integrator as the right hand of the SWR; he must be able to support him in internal discussions with safety and quality departments, external discussions with SW suppliers and customers related both to requirements clarifications and change requests. He is also a reference for the Developers during the development ongoing, in particular for clarifications needed regarding the Architecture design but in some cases also for the analysis of the issues and debugging activities.
- Creation of the SW Architecture design in all its parts
- Ensure that the requirements documented in the software functional specification can be covered with the chosen design
- Communicate the design to all involved parties and provide coaching if necessary
- Managing functional safety according to ISO 26262 for projects safety relevant
- Keep agreed milestones and deliver results according to project plan
- Feedback toward SWR if the schedule cannot be met
- Support SWR both in internal discussions with safety and quality departments and external discussions with SW suppliers and customers related to requirements clarifications and change requests
- Ensure compliance with development process
- Give binding commitments within the role description
- Suggest and implement improvements of engineering process
- Perform role specific configuration management activities (e.g.: maintain relevant items in CI List)

**Skills**:

- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Knowledge of multi-layer software architectures
- Knowledge of relevant modeling tools (like EA, or IBM Rhapsody)
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML), SysML
- Knowledge of development process
- Knowledge of requirements engineering practices and tools
- Knowledge of relevant metrics
- Automotive SPICE (depending on project)
- ISO 26262 (for project with functional safety)
- AUTOSAR (depending on project)
- Autosar tools for configuration (like Vector DaVinci, KPIT KSAR)
- DOORS for SW requirements management
- Visual Studio and build environment
- Problem and change management with tools like ClearQuest, JIRA
- Configuration management with tools like ClearCase, GIT, RTC
- Knowledge of SW Integration strategies
- Usage of office software
- Fluent spoken and written English
