As a **Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Site - Afternoon Shift**in **Alabaster, AL**, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will also be expected to provide outstanding customer service, offering assistance and clear communication to everyone you encounter. **What You'll Do**:

- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence within the healthcare location.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site policies to help to deter disruptions within the healthcare environment.
- Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies as directed by site leadership or Allied Universal protocols.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit and an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
