Their responsibilities include: Making contact Reaching out to potential customers through cold calls, and receiving calls from existing customers Presenting products Using a script to introduce products and services, and demonstrating how they can meet customer needs Following up Making follow-up calls to customers after purchases, and to see if they are satisfied with the product or service Maintaining records Keeping a detailed record of all calls and sales, including customer feedback, purchase orders, and queries Updating customers Informing customers about new products and launches, and keeping them updated on new offers Market research Conducting market research to learn how to address customers, and comparing competitors' offers Liaising with other departments Directing calls to other departments as needed, and liaising with the relevant department regarding customer queries and complaints Telesales representatives should be able to adapt to changing sales strategies and market dynamics, and have strong communication skills.
