**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop & implement Purchasing strategies in line with organizational objectives to add value, deliver cost savings & mitigate supply chain risk
- Material Purchase Planning & execution - ensure continuous material flow for production.
- Responsible for purchasing raw materials, imported, consumables, indirect materials, etc.
- Analyse & reduce costs, improve delivery time, reduce quality complaints and bring in new ideas for improvement in purchase processes.
- Sourcing and developing new vendors/suppliers for quality services
- Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate the team of Buyers to achieve excellence, and mentor them as they develop new skills.
- Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, customer service, manufacturing, engineering & sales regarding procurement support of their activities.
- Contribute to new business initiatives, and projects, review & communicate the impact on Purchasing activities.
- Visit the plant at regular intervals to take stock of development activity and other production-related issues.
- Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of the Procurement function to ensure that all projects are delivered within budgeted cost within the agreed timeline & to the highest quality standards
- Monitoring inventory and optimum utilization of available resources.
- Forecast price fluctuation and take proactive action on procurement of critical raw materials.
- Take full advantage of any favourable market situation and do advance booking of critical high-value raw material
- Should be Conversant with import procedures, customs & logistics.
- Exposure to the QMS, customer audit requirements & expectations, and compliance with all the policies and procedures pertaining to those requirements.
- Ensure the departmental Policies and processes are aligned/updated with the changing customer requirements pertaining to EHS, Quality, Products, Material, People Sustainable development Initiatives etc
- Responsible for Vendor management, cost cutting, and cost optimization.

Educational qualification desired: - B.E. / B. Tech Mechanical

**Salary**: Up to ₹800,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Procurement: 5 years (preferred)
