**Role Overview**
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic **Patient Coordinator** to manage front-line communications and ensure seamless scheduling and support for our patients. You’ll be the bridge between patients and our medical team, helping create a smooth, stress-free experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone with warmth and professionalism
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments efficiently
- Verify insurance details and obtain necessary authorizations
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information regularly
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient care and scheduling
**Qualifications**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in healthcare software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
- Empathetic, patient-focused approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
**Education & Experience**
- Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is advantageous
