**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive **Assistant** **Factory Supervisor - Mechanical** **Engineer** to manage the mechanical production floor and ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a mechanical engineering background and strong team leadership capabilities.

**Role & responsibilities**
- Supervise day-to-day mechanical operations including fabrication, machining, assembly, and maintenance.
- Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure that production targets are met within time and quality constraints.
- Inspect mechanical systems and components for defects or deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with departments such as Quality, Design, Maintenance, and Supply Chain for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and production machinery.
- Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain daily reports, shift handover logs, and production documentation.
- Lead and motivate a team of technicians and operators to achieve operational excellence.
- Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement preventive actions.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 8 years of minimum experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment; at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical production processes, machine tools (CNC, lathes, milling), and assembly operations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing software (ERP/MRP systems), AutoCAD/SolidWorks is a plus.
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.

**Working Conditions**:

- Factory environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and occasional high noise levels.
- Standing, walking, or moving for extended periods may be required.
- Shift work, including weekends or overtime, may be necessary based on production demands.
