Job Description: Finance Assistant

Summary

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to oversee our financial operations. This role involves managing accounting tasks such as payment processing for rental agreements and contracts, and filing taxes such as GST and TDS on a daily and monthly basis. Maintaining statements and ledgers, including vendor balance reconciliation and customer statement checks, will also be crucial responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivables and update Accounts Payables while performing reconciliations.
- Maintain organized filing of all Bills, Vouchers, Agreements, and Documents.
- Prepare standard monthly journal entries and conduct daily reconciliation of Bank, Debtors, and Creditors.
- Ensure compliance with GST regulations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and generate standard reports using advanced Excel/Access database skills.
- Review and process supplier invoices accurately and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and resolve discrepancies, including handling vendor inquiries.
- Coordinate with bankers to manage banking relationships and ensure proper controls on inventory, credit and collection, deposits, and remittances.
- Collaborate with the broader finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
