**Job Purpose**:
To facilitate the development of language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for the English language among primary and middle school students.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **Lesson Planning and Curriculum Delivery**:

- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in alignment with the curriculum guidelines (CBSE/CAIE).
- Integrate reading comprehension, grammar, creative writing, and speaking activities into daily lessons.
- Use innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Establish a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation and collaboration among students.
- Maintain records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress.
- **Assessment and Feedback**:

- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Provide constructive feedback on students’ assignments, projects, and exams.
- Identify and address learning gaps through remedial teaching strategies.
- **Student Development**:

- Foster strong reading habits through storytelling, literature circles, and library sessions.
- Promote critical thinking and creativity through debates, discussions, and project-based learning.
- Organize activities like essay writing, poetry recitation, and elocution competitions.
- **Collaboration and Teamwork**:

- Work closely with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons and school events.
- Coordinate with coordinators, counselors, and parents to support individual student needs.
- Participate in department meetings, training programs, and workshops.
- **Parental Engagement**:

- Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates.
- **School Activities**:

- Participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
- Assist in organizing English-related events such as literary fests, debates, and storytelling sessions.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English or a related field.
- B.Ed. (preferred) or equivalent teaching certification.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to make lessons interactive and engaging using technology and creative teaching methods.
- Effective use of resources like audio-visual aids, storybooks, and learning apps.
- **Experience**:

- 2-5 years of teaching experience in English for Primary or Middle School.
- Freshers with strong communication and relevant qualifications can also apply.
