Senior Design Engineer

**Position**: Senior Design Engineer

Experience Level: 5+ years

**Salary**: INR 4,00,000 - 8,00,000 lacs PA (Negotiable)

Functional Area: Design

**Responsibilities**:
**Mechanical Design**:
Lead and contribute to the design of industrial automation systems, special purpose machines (SPMs), jigs & fixtures, robotic welding fixtures, material handling systems, and flexible packaging machines.

Utilize SolidWorks for machine design, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.

Experience in Automation:
Design and develop solutions that enhance automation efficiency and productivity.

**Knowledge of Machining Processes & GD&T**:
Possess a sound understanding of machining processes, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and other relevant manufacturing principles.

**Technical Documentation**:
Prepare detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for the designed systems.

Create comprehensive machine manuals for end-users, providing clear instructions for operation and maintenance.

SolidWorks Proficiency:
Demonstrate proficiency in SolidWorks for creating accurate and detailed 3D models and assemblies.

**Collaboration**:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.

**Problem-solving**:
Identify and resolve design-related issues during the development and implementation phases.

Propose and implement improvements to existing designs for optimization.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on industrial automation and special purpose machines.

Proficient in SolidWorks for machine design.

Strong knowledge of machining processes, GD&T, and manufacturing principles.

Experience in preparing part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.

Previous experience in designing robotic welding fixtures, material handling systems, and flexible packaging machines is desirable.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
