**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions for mainframe modernization.
- Develop and optimize mainframe programs to generate correctly formatted files/reports from unformatted source data.
- Work on COBOL, JCL, and Oracle-based development, with an added advantage if experienced in Assembler.
- Create and execute unit test cases to ensure accuracy and reliability of developed solutions.
- Conduct peer code reviews and work with internal teams for quality assurance and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, providing effective resolutions for system stability and efficiency.
- Integrate mainframe systems with modern cloud-based services and technologies.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools to plan and execute modernization projects efficiently.
- Implement automation and scripting tools (e.g., REXX, CLIST) to enhance operational workflows.
**Primary Skills & Competencies**
- **Mainframe Expertise**: Proficiency in **COBOL, Assembler, JCL, REXX**, and related mainframe tools.
- **Database Management**: Experience with **DB2, IMS, VSAM**, and other mainframe database management systems.
- **Modernization & Integration**: Hands-on experience in integrating mainframe systems with cloud technologies.
- **Project Management**: Strong understanding of project management methodologies, planning, and execution.
- **Automation & Scripting**: Proficiency in **REXX, CLIST**, or other scripting languages for process automation.
- **Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop efficient solutions.
- **Communication & Collaboration**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator).
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,600,000.00 per year
