**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
Position: Product Engineer-Motor - Mechanical PO for Low Voltage Motors

Minimum years of experience
2 - 5 years of experience
Nature of experience
Motor Mechanical design

Worked in a project environment

Educational Qualifications: M.E. Mechanical / Mechatronics (IITs/NITs or any other reputed university) Specific skills / Personal attributes
- Good knowledge of HV/LV Motors is must and mechanical engineering experience to support production programs - Understanding of the construction of different motor type - PMSM, IPM, SRIPM.
- Sense of responsibility, investigation and innovation
- Demonstrated ability for interpersonal relationships and effective team player
- Able to take part in team reviews and use systematic problem-solving skills with effective communication
- Creating and working from design specifications in accordance with the Dana Quality Management System
- Assisting with creating all required documentation to meet internal and external requirements.
- English communication (spoken & written) should be adequate to converse at international level
- Skilled in performing the DFMEA, Stack-up analysis, DVP, PVP for the motor
- Good analytical and development skills
- Work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- The ability to process detailed information effectively and consistently
- Good project experience/time management skills
- Well conversed with 2D/3D drawings and versatility with Solidworks or NX and Teamcenter
- Software skills like Hypermesh, ABAQUS are must
- Knowledge of MotorCAD and Matlab/Simulink will be added advantage

Job Description / Responsibilities
- Calculations and selection of different motor parts like bearings, shaft, casting and injection molded components etc.
- Mechanical construction, design and packing for rotor, stator, casing and cooling jackets
- Perform the DFMEA, Stack-up analysis, DVP, PVP for the motor
- Analyze localization requirements and designs / adapts products and solutions accordingly
- Able to work on cost reduction and continuous improvements with innovative solutions and manage / qualify vendors for hardware development requirements.
- Work as a extended global team for the mechanical product ownership for motor design
- Analyze and interpret analysis results, propose design changes and guide the analysis team to formulate the problem statement
- Support to manufacturing to solve the technical issues
- Work with supplier development team for TRA and localization of mechanical motor components
- Has basic knowledge of the National and international standards governing motors and its parts
- Capability of promoting standardization, use of best design practices and continuous improvement of products working within the framework of the New Product Implementation process as stated within the management guidelines
