Job Purpose:
The Site Storekeeper is responsible for managing and maintaining the store at the project site. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies required for the smooth operation of an interior fitout project. The storekeeper will ensure proper recordkeeping and inventory control while maintaining safety and organization at the storage site.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Management:
Receive and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials, tools, and equipment.

Ensure that all goods received are accompanied by valid delivery notes or invoices and match the purchase orders.

Store materials in an organized manner to facilitate efficient use and retrieval.

2. Inventory Control:
Maintain UpToDate records of all materials received, issued, and returned.

Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent material shortages.

Track the consumption of materials and report discrepancies or low stock levels to the Project Manager or Procurement team.

3. Issuing Materials:
Issue materials and tools to workers or subcontractors based on authorized requisitions.

Keep accurate logs of materials issued and returned to ensure proper documentation and traceability.

4. Record Keeping:
Update and maintain stock registers and relevant software (if applicable) for all materials and tools.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, consumption, and material status for review by the Project Manager or Site Engineer.

5. Safety and Organization:
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store to prevent damage, theft, or loss of materials.

Ensure that all materials are stored according to safety regulations and site requirements, including hazardous materials.

Implement procedures for proper waste management and disposal of unusable items.

6. Coordination:
Coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure timely delivery of required materials to avoid project delays.

Communicate with site supervisors and project managers to understand upcoming material requirements.

Liaise with subcontractors for material returns or replacements as needed.

7. Quality Assurance:
Inspect materials for any defects or discrepancies during delivery and report any issues to the relevant department.

Ensure that the materials used meet the project’s quality standards and specifications.

8. Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare GRNs (Goods Received Notes) for every material delivery and update stock records accordingly.

Ensure all documentation (purchase orders, delivery notes, stock issue forms) is properly filed and readily available for audit or reference.

9. Tool Management:
Monitor the use and condition of tools at the site, ensuring they are properly maintained and returned after use.

Keep records of tools issued to workers and contractors to prevent loss or damage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in store management, preferably in construction or interior fitout projects.

Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of inventory management software or manual inventory control processes.

Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment used in interior fitout works.

Organizational Skills: Ability to keep the store neat, well organized, and efficiently managed.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with site personnel, suppliers, and management.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy in managing stock levels, recording inventory, and ensuring the right materials are issued.

Problem Solving: Ability to handle inventory discrepancies and ensure materials are available when needed.

Work Environment:
The role is based at the project site and involves working in a dynamic construction environment.

Regular lifting and handling of materials may be required.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Accuracy of inventory records.

Timely reporting and stock updates.

Minimal wastage and proper management of material returns.

Compliance with safety standards in the store.

Reduction in material shortages or overstocking.
