The Dean of Academics is a senior academic administrator responsible for overseeing the academic operations of the institution, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and academic integrity. This role involves strategic leadership, curriculum management, faculty development, and student academic success. The Dean serves as a key member of the leadership team, reporting to the Principal, and collaborates with departments to foster an innovative, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.

**Qualifications**:
Essential:
Doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant field.

Desirable:
Expertise or academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Science.

**Experience**:
At least 10-15 years of experience in academia, including teaching, research, and administrative roles.

Proven track record of leadership in curriculum design, faculty management, and academic quality assurance.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Academic Leadership

Develop and implement academic policies, programs, and procedures that align with the institution’s vision, mission, and goals.

Promote excellence in teaching and learning across all academic programs.

Foster an environment of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement in academic practices.

2. Curriculum Development and Management

Oversee the design, development, and revision of curricula to ensure relevance and compliance with accreditation standards.

Ensure the integration of technology, interdisciplinary approaches, and contemporary practices in course delivery.

Promote the adoption of outcome-based education (OBE) and continuous assessment techniques.

3. Student Success and Support

Develop and monitor strategies to enhance student retention, engagement, and academic performance.

Address student grievances related to academic matters and facilitate resolution processes.

Collaborate with student services to ensure robust academic advising and support systems.

4. Quality Assurance and Accreditation

Lead institutional efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation and program approvals.

Monitor academic compliance with local, national, and international regulatory bodies.

Oversee the development of self-assessment reports and quality enhancement strategies.

5. Strategic Planning and Innovation

Contribute to the institution’s strategic planning process with a focus on academic priorities.

Identify opportunities for new academic programs, interdisciplinary collaborations, and industry partnerships.

Promote the use of data-driven decision-making for academic improvements.

6. Collaboration and External Engagement

Foster collaboration between academic departments, research centers, and administrative units.

Represent the institution in academic forums, conferences, and professional networks.

Build partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions to enhance academic offerings.
