The Deans shall coordinate the activities of the respective UG, PG departments & Research.
- Organise the HODs’ meeting and staff meeting ( if necessary ) for the smooth running of the classes, implementation of the annual action plan etc.,
- Orienting the newly appointed teachers and young HODs through orientation programmes by Deans, Workshop & FDPs.
- Conducting special month end seminars for the faculty and students.
- Arranging the short term Certificate courses, getting MOUs and affiliation for new courses from Bharathiar University.
- Policy making and Budget proposal for conducting the academic activities in the departments in consultations with the HODs concerned.
- Selection of suitable faculty members through interviews whenever vacancies arise.
- Policy making and general academic activities are finalized in the Principal and Deans meeting.
- Motivating and assisting HODs and faculty under their charge to produce better results and ranks in the University examinations.
- Evaluating the academic programmes ( whether they are being conducted as per plans).
- Obtaining funds from the funding agencies like UGC, DST, DBT, etc., for various programmes and projects.
- Selection of library books and journals
- Motivating and assisting HODs and Faculty to publish research papers in journals and presenting research articles in various international & national level seminars.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
