Introduction:
As a Barclays Compliance Assurance Professional Practices AVP you will be supporting Compliance in achieving its mission, purpose and objectives by providing an assurance capability to meet the demands of a world class Compliance function. The Compliance Assurance Professional Practices team will lead on the development and maintenance of an operational framework to support Compliance Assurance colleagues in undertaking effective assurance reviews, against agreed SLAs, to assess and report on Conduct and/or Reputational Risk Management, behaviours and attitudes.

What will you be doing?
- Annual refresh and ongoing maintenance of Compliance Assurance Methodologies for the execution of reviews (throughout planning, testing, and reporting) and the monitoring and validation of issues.
- Development of a Compliance Assurance wide training plan, and accreditation curriculum, for existing colleagues and new joiners.
- Delivery of technical training on a cyclical and ad-hoc basis.
- Enhancement and maintenance of the Compliance Assurance SharePoint.
- Taking a proactive approach to identify and agree knowledge gaps, blockers, and challenges across Compliance Assurance.
- Being proactive in managing your workload to meet planned timescales, resolving or escalating issues and blockers that materially impact progress.
- Day to day oversight of the workload of team members based in India, and ongoing engagement with the wider Professional Practices team.
- Designing, supporting and delivering solutions to potential enhancements identified by Review Leads, Reviewers, the Compliance Assurance Management team globally, and key external stakeholders (e.g., Business Oversight Compliance, Regulators).
- Provide support to the Assurance Global Services leadership team on ad-hoc activities at the discretion of Compliance Assurance senior management.

- Working knowledge or prior in role experience of training, development or continuous improvement.
- Strong investigative skills with the capability to identify key risks and areas of non-conformance with regulatory and legislative requirements and lack of controls, identify root cases, themes and trends.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver high quality work in a timely and structured manner.
- Experience with the production of slide decks, training materials, and communications through PowerPoint, SharePoint, or equivalent.
- Experience of controls testing in either an Assurance, Advisory, Audit, Financial Services or Legal capacity.
- Familiarity with conduct laws and regulations and other pertinent regulatory guidance in order to assess Risks within Barclays Bank.
- Minimum education qualification-Graduate
- Experience knowledge sharing and collaborating across a global team to encourage best practise.
- Own and drive personal learning and development to support achievement of career aspirations.
