**Your role**
- We’re looking for the lead architect for our Finance modernization in Group Functions Technology to:
- define product roadmap to simplify our technology landscape and deliver our new general ledger vendor SaaS platform and transform front to back financial control processes by leveraging Native Cloud services on Azure.
- operate an effective and efficient architectural process and governance to align our ledger product roadmaps to our strategic architecture, and to maintain a healthy technology portfolio with accurate systems of record.
- provide hands-on guidance and architectural insights to the wider ledger product team and partner with the functional architect to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.
- take a front-to-back view and collaborate well with teams across the bank e.g., from different business divisions
- help define our transition approach to ensure we deliver incremental value to our clients at least quarterly while minimizing the risk to our finance processes
- ability to map business priorities to technology drivers for change. Operate in an agile environment. Navigate stakeholder map with gravitas

**Your team**
- You will be working in the CTO team based in one of our global locations and reporting to the Group Functions Architecture Centre of Excellence Lead. The CTO team is globally distributed, and you will collaborate daily with colleagues in different regions and countries. You will work in an agile way providing architectural expertise to our ledger product delivery teams. As the General Ledger Stream Architect, you will work closely with the Architecture CoE lead, Stream Leads, Crew Leads and the initiative lead, to define and deliver our business and technology objectives for the General Ledger Modernization.

**Your expertise**
- experience working in a CTO or Lead Architect position within a large organization
- leadership skills including defining and communicating vision and strategy, and inspiring action
- hands-on expertise in modern technologies and ways of working including Cloud, DevOps and Agile
- proven successful delivery of complex technology solutions and significant architectural change
- experience of delivering a General Ledger modernization initiative is an advantage
- professional qualifications including relevant university degree or equivalent
