**Job Summary**:
The **Commis 1 Chef - Indian Cuisine** is responsible for preparing and assisting in cooking traditional Indian dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. This role requires a strong understanding of Indian culinary techniques and ingredients, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring food consistency and presentation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian curries, dals, biryanis, breads, and tandoori items.
- Handle mise-en-place and ensure all ingredients and tools are ready before service.
- Maintain food quality, taste, texture, and hygiene as per kitchen standards.
- Follow standard recipes and portion sizes as directed by senior chefs.
- Support kitchen operations across different Indian sections (e.g., gravy, rice, tandoor).
- Keep workstations clean and organized during and after service.
- Comply with food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and raw materials.
**Qualifications**:
- 1-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably Indian cuisine.
- Culinary diploma or certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Indian cooking methods and ingredients.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Good time management and multitasking skills.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Exposure to tandoor cooking or regional Indian cuisines (South/North Indian).
- Understanding of kitchen safety procedures and food handling standards.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
