**Job Profile: Restaurant Hostess at a Café Shop**

Position: Restaurant Hostess

Location: Fort, Mumbai 400001

Reports to: Café Manager

**Job Summary**:
Key Responsibilities:
**Guest Services**:
1. Greeting and Seating Guests:

- Warmly welcome guests as they enter the café.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Manage the seating plan to ensure efficient use of tables and optimize guest experience.

2. **Customer Assistance**:

- Answer guest inquiries regarding the menu, special dietary needs, or café services.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously, escalating to the manager when necessary.

Operational Duties:
4. **Coordination with Staff**:

- Communicate effectively with Baristas/ servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in coordinating table turnovers and preparing tables for incoming guests.

5. Administrative Tasks:

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and entryway.
- Manage daily reservation logs and waitlist records.
- Assist with light administrative duties such as organizing promotional materials or menus.

6. Safety and Cleanliness:

- Ensure the entryway, waiting area, and restrooms are clean and presentable.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience: Prior experience as a hostess or in customer service is preferred.
- Skills:

- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Basic computer literacy, familiar with POS systems.
- Personal Attributes:

- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Professional appearance and behaviour.

**Working Conditions**:

- The position may require standing for extended periods.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
