BELCON TEX PVT. LTD. is a leading name in the Indian polyester market with over 30 years of experience in the weaving industry. Our state-of-the-art weaving facility has 400+ water jet looms producing 60 million meters of fabric per annum. Equipped with 46080 spindles of Twisting Machine, we are capable of weaving fabrics of all widths ranging from 36” to 120”. Our product line includes children's wear, home furnishing fabrics like cushion covers, bed sheets, curtains and drapes, and technical materials for hospital bedsheets, gowns, luggage, and bags.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Sourcing Merchandiser located in Surat. The Fashion Sourcing Merchandiser will be responsible for managing and sourcing the raw material/consumable for the production of têxtiles, coordinating with mills and sourcing fabrics, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

**Responsibilities**:

- All types of fabric sourcing from India for the buyers following the required specification.
- Fabric development within the sampling department for research and Interpretation of new qualities sent as a tech pack included for varied styles in season.
- Different quality Woven, and Non-Woven fabric development with local suppliers.
- Fabric quality follow-up, risk assessment, and provide technical and managerial solutions.
- Analysis
- fabric structure, texture, composition and design
- Sample to Bulk quality, quantity, technical, delivery monitoring, and sustainable product development.
- Study Market trends of latest finishes of fabric, price analysis, and negotiation with suppliers for sourcing best quality fabrics.
- Develop personnel and execute policies and procedures that provide material at the lowest possible prices.
- Dealing with all documentation works PO raising, making supplier’s payments, following up with the transporter, and getting a material in-house.
- Weaving, Knitting, embroidery, dyeing finishing, and printing process follow up for sample development.
- Classification of different swatches by buyers to develop similar loom qualities in achieving picks, appearance and hand feel as per the standard required.
- Development of fabric suppliers for different types of fabrics (domestic and international level). And develop more than one supplier for s fabric type to keep as a backup if one supplier fails to give delivery, another will deliver fabrics.
- Arranging the mocks and swatches according to wash type, and peaching levels for a range library presentation. Taking care of all greige fabric purchases based on customer requirements.
- Taking charge of the fabric sample store library, maintaining MIS of all issuance and clearances.
- Plan with Manufacturing team and get optimum fabric and trims available on time.
- Aligning the F&A plans with production schedules for manufacturing Garments
- Color assessment through visual, Pantone, and X-rite.

**Qualifications**:

- Fashion Designing or Textile Diploma
- Good knowledge of advance level excel
- Experience of sourcing fabric from Surat, Mumbai, Jaipur, preferred
- Good knowledge of supplier base in Western India
- Past experience of working with Fashion designer in women's ethnic wear preferred

- Remuneration is market competitive and based on experience.
