Key Responsibilities:

- **Vendor Management**:

- **Negotiation and Contracts**:

- Negotiating contracts, prices, terms, and conditions with vendors.
- Ensuring the best possible deals for the company while maintaining quality standards.
- Drafting purchase orders and ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies.
- **Cost Control and Budgeting**:

- Monitoring market trends to understand price fluctuations and ensuring procurement stays within budget.
- Assisting in cost-saving initiatives and value engineering by sourcing alternative materials or vendors.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Ensuring that all purchased materials meet the required quality standards.
- Coordinating with quality control teams for material inspection upon delivery.
- **Logistics and Delivery**:

- Managing the delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time and in good condition.
- Coordinating with transporters and warehouse managers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintaining accurate records of all purchases, vendor contracts, and inventory.
- Preparing and submitting reports on procurement activities and expenses to senior management.

Skills Required:

- **Negotiation Skills**: The ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms.
- **Project Management**: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Understanding the materials and equipment used in construction, including their quality standards and specifications.
- **Financial Acumen**: Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and cost control.
- **Communication Skills**: The ability to communicate effectively with vendors, engineers, and senior management.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ensuring accuracy in contracts, purchase orders, and material specifications.
