**What you’ll do**:

- The Tax Specialist focuses upon the provision of effective advice and administration to support with the optimisation of Vodafone
- s tax position, including minimising tax liability, tax reporting and ensuring compliance with all statutory positions in line with tax procedures and concepts. The Tax Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures within the tax function gained through extensive practical experience and works with the colleagues to establish close working relationships with partners across the business, advising on tax risks and opportunities and providing expert recommendations.Typically reports to the Senior Tax Manager.

**Who you are**:

- Assists, advises and executes processes and activities on elements within the tax landscape, in alignment with market legalities to support the achievement of the tax strategy;
- Supports the team to deliver activities related to aspects of external and internal tax policy;
- Understands the tax exposures, tax controversies and specific business tax issues including tax to perform the related tasks;
- Effectively interacts with colleagues ensuring high quality support is provided to the business including all aspects of tax advice and planning;
- Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the supervisor or resulting from assigned agendas.Has a good understanding of practices across the tax exposures, tax controversies and specific business tax issues including tax litigations;
- Uses judgement based on the analysis of factual information to resolve tax risks/challenges;
- May provide informal guidance to junior staff.
