**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Lab Maintenance**:

- Ensure all lab equipment and materials are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Perform regular checks and maintenance on lab instruments and tools.

Organize and keep the lab clean, orderly, and stocked with necessary supplies.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Enforce safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe lab environment.
- Provide guidance to students on proper lab safety protocols and correct usage of equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements.

**Support for Students and Teachers**:

- Assist students with lab work, including the use of equipment and understanding experimental procedures.
- Provide support to teachers during lab sessions and demonstrations.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during lab activities.

**Inventory Management**:

- Maintain an accurate inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
- Order new supplies as needed and ensure timely restocking.
- Keep detailed records of materials used and ensure proper documentation of lab activities.

**Administrative Tasks**:

- Assist in scheduling lab sessions to optimize use and availability of lab resources.
- Maintain records of lab activities, experiments conducted, and any incidents that occur.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions on improving lab operations.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with science teachers to integrate lab activities with the curriculum.
- Support the implementation of new experiments and innovative teaching methods.
- Collaborate with the school's administrative and maintenance staff to ensure the lab environment meets all standards.
- Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in an educational environment, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of lab equipment, safety protocols, and scientific procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and a supportive attitude towards students.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and productive learning environment.

**Working Conditions**:

- The position is based in a residential school environment.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate the needs of the school.
