Computer Lab Assistant

**Location : Guru Rajendra Jain International School, Mohankheda Jain Tirth, Rajgarh (Dhar).**

Roles and Responsibilities:
**1. Lab Maintenance**:

- Ensure that all computer lab equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Perform regular updates and maintenance on software and hardware.
- Monitor the lab environment to ensure it is clean, organized, and conducive to learning.

**2. Technical Support**:

- Provide technical assistance to students and staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical problems that arise in a timely manner.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of new software and hardware.

**3. User Assistance**:

- Conduct basic training sessions for students and staff on using lab resources and software.
- Help students with their projects and assignments that require computer usage.

5. **Administrative Tasks**:

- Maintain an inventory of all computer lab equipment and supplies.
- Keep records of lab usage and report any issues to the IT Coordinator.
- Assist in scheduling and managing lab hours to maximize student access and learning opportunities.

**6. Safety and Security**:

- Ensure that all students adhere to the lab rules and guidelines to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
- Monitor the use of the internet and ensure compliance with the school's acceptable use policy.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect the school's digital assets.

**Qualifications**:

- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and a patient, supportive approach when assisting users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive attitude and the willingness to stay updated with the latest technology trends and developments.

**Working Conditions**:

- The position is based in a residential school environment.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate the needs of the school.
