**1) Requirements:

- Should be good with numbers and quick at arithmetic calculations.
- Good memory.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Well versed in English.
- 30 WPM Typing speed in English.
- Good Presence of Mind and Quick at taking actions.
- Preferred Experience in Shipping (Ship Chandling) industry.

**2) Roles and responsibilities:


**(a) **Sales Tasks**:

- Prepare & send Quotations for the List of Products Enquired, with terms and conditions.
- Document the Quotations and compare them against orders received to identify difference in Price and Product specifications.
- Co-ordinate with Sales Executive who follow-up with customers to fetch orders against submitted quotations.
- Engage with Sales Co-ordinator to brief them on queries requiring management’s response and approval.
- Remain knowledgeable about all products and services to ensure that correct prices are quoted for the enquired products.

**(b) **Purchase Tasks**:

- Monitor product availability in stock and raise price enquiries for the remaining quantities.
- Segregate such enquiries by identifying the appropriate vendors for each product, in order to seek their price from different vendors.
- Compare vendor quotations and negotiate for the best price on each product from the appropriate vendor.
- Ensure that the required quantities are procured in a timely manner.
- Communicate the details and timelines of Purchase orders placed, to the delivery department and ensure that products arrive from their vendors in time.
- Promptly communicate any damaged, defective, wrong or short supply to respective vendors to ensure a seamless return/rejection process.
- Co-ordinate with Accounts payables team, to resolve any issues related to vendor billing and payment, by engaging the vendors promptly.
