**Job Description**:
**Your way to impact**

Decision scientists deeply understand PayPal’s business objectives, as their impact on PayPal’s top and bottom lines is immense. As a decision scientist, you will drive end-to-end solutions to improve customer experience, increase engagement, and reduce churn within the PayPal platform.

**Your day to day**

**In your role as a Decision Scientist, you will**:

- Leverage massive and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities to improve consumer products and experiences
- Use advanced analytics along with critical and strategic thinking to execute top-notch analyses and build business cases for new products and features
- Translate business and strategic questions into structured analysis method and accordingly, plan and execute long-term projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with product and engineering partners across many organizations to develop cutting-edge, scalable, and safe products to enhance customer experience
- Analyze and optimize risk products and experiences, while tracking their effectiveness and monitoring key metrics
- Own and lead multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and results-oriented environment

**What do you need to bring-**
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Economics, etc.)
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience working in a quantitative or analytical role (e.g., Decision scientist, data/product analyst, data scientist, product/process manager, risk management, army intelligence units)
- Proficiency in using SQL and Excel for data querying and manipulation; comfortable using additional data access and analysis tools
- The ability to work comfortably in a constantly evolving environment
- Outstanding attention to details, analytical skills, and critical, business, strategic, and problem-solving thinking
- Self-learner, multi-tasking, able to work independently, initiative, highly organized, "can-do" approach
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
