The Decision Strategy team role combines strategy, analytics, operational practices, and business insights into one. You would be required to partners with PayPal’s Product and Marketing organizations by delivering world-class strategy solutions and analytics that enables revenues and unlock business opportunities. We are looking for a talented, ambitious, versatile, and self-motivated, data scientist to drive a last mile strategy solution with a focus on value driven outcome.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop data-driven decision strategies/solutions with the help of machine learning algorithm, which will be used by PayPal payment & platform, product, and marketing organization.
- Participate in the formulations and implementation of departmental processes, procedures, policies, and standards.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on matters of significance to the business.
- Look for improvement and innovation opportunities with business impact. Provide a source of high-quality ideas.
- Execute project and sharing results with stakeholders with mínimal guidance.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- 4 to 6 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, strategy, marketing or related functions
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in building in strategy solutions by using rule writing infrastructure.
- Previously worked with SQL, Python/R
- Strong analytical skills including experience, familiarity, and ease with analyzing large, multi-dimensional data sets.
- Highly motivated, result-oriented self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
- Data driven mindset with degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics. MBA/MS is a plus.
- Experience in Fintech/Banking/Credit/Payment industry is a strong plus.
