Roles and Responsibilities:

- **Machine Setup and Operation**:

- Set up and operate tapping machines to create internal threads in parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Adjust machine settings such as spindle speed, feed rate, and depth to match material and threading requirements.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Inspect parts before and after tapping to ensure the accuracy of thread dimensions and quality.
- Use gauges, micrometers, and thread checkers to verify specifications.
- **Material Handling**:

- Load raw materials or semi-finished parts onto the tapping machine securely.
- Unload and organize finished parts for further processing or packaging.
- **Tool Maintenance**:

- Maintain and replace tapping tools, such as taps and dies, as they wear out or become damaged.
- Ensure tools are clean, sharp, and correctly aligned for precision threading.
- **Troubleshooting**:

- Identify and resolve minor operational issues such as misalignment or material jamming.
- Notify maintenance personnel for significant mechanical problems requiring repairs.
- **Process Optimization**:

- Monitor machine performance and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Work closely with production planners to meet daily production targets.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep the work area clean and organized to minimize hazards.
- **Documentation**:

- Record production data, including quantities produced, cycle times, and any defects or issues.
- Maintain logs of tool changes, machine maintenance, and material usage.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work alongside quality control, maintenance, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in training new operators on machine handling and safety practices.
- **General Maintenance**:

- Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of the tapping machine to ensure consistent performance.
- Report significant maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.

Skills and Qualifications:

- **Technical Skills**:

- Knowledge of tapping machines, threading techniques, and relevant tools.
- Familiarity with threading standards and measurements.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- Ability to detect and correct thread imperfections or errors.
- **Physical Stamina**:

- Capability to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
- **Problem-Solving**:

- Quick thinking to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience in operating tapping machines or similar equipment is preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
