
Medical Coding Trainer

Responsibilities:
Develop and update comprehensive training materials, presentations, and resources covering CPT, HAP, ICD-10, and HCPCS code sets.
Deliver engaging and informative training sessions to individuals or groups in-person.
Provide hands-on instruction to ensure learners understand accurate coding for medical procedures, diagnoses, and services.
Create and administer assessments to evaluate trainees' knowledge and skills in medical coding.
Offer constructive feedback and personalized guidance to enhance coding accuracy and efficiency.
Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with curriculum development teams to align training content with current industry practices.
Provide one-on-one coaching and support to trainees who need additional assistance.
Assist in job placement efforts by offering insights into the medical coding job market and interview preparation techniques.
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and trainee progress.
Foster an engaging and positive learning environment to encourage active participation.
Support trainees in developing skills for successful careers in medical coding.
Qualifications:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential or equivalent medical coding certification is mandatory.
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a medical coder in a clinical or healthcare setting.
Proven track record of delivering training sessions or workshops, preferably in healthcare or educational settings.
Strong understanding of medical coding guidelines, including CPT, HAP, ICD-10, and HCPCS code sets.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Patient, approachable, and adaptable teaching style to suit different learning needs.
Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong organizational skills to manage training schedules, materials, and assessments.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry changes.
Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plus.
**Education**:
Bachelor’s or master's degree in healthcare administration, Health Information Management, or a related field is preferred.
**Experience**:
3+ years of relevant industry experience or teaching experience in the same field.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
